Through the values, habits and dispositions they develop, they learn, lead and serve with confidence, preparing them to flourish in an ever-changing world.

Developing Empowered Learners

Learning dispositions are the positive behaviours and attitudes that are important for life-long learning. Characterised under Habits, Attitudes and Teamwork (HAT), NCPS learning dispositions equip our students with the readiness to learn effectively, to find joy in learning and persevere, even when it gets challenging.

These dispositions nurture our students to pursue knowledge with curiosity and tenacity, working with others in this lifelong journey. At NCPS, they will practise positive behaviours and attitudes through classroom and learning experiences.

Cultivating Empathetic Leaders

Character dispositions are the moral qualities, values and virtues that guide our students’ actions and behaviour. These four character dispositions are aligned with our school values of Respect, Responsibility, Sincerity and Perseverance.

At NCPS, we nurture these dispositions through CCE lessons, Forum Theatre and VIA, where students engage with real-life situations and practise values in action. Through these experiences, our students grow to lead self and others, becoming disciplined, cultured, and civic-minded individuals grounded in strong values.

Inspiring Enterprising Contributors

Enterprising dispositions empower our students to take initiative, innovate, and solve problems to serve others purposefully. NCPS fosters the enterprising mindset through the six leadership dispositions of “I am in charge, I set goals, I prioritise, I believe everyone can win, I empathise and listen, I believe together is better”. These dispositions shape students to be agents of change, positively impacting the community while upholding NC values and heritage.
